Music Video Planning

To plan the music video my group kept in mind Andrew Goodwin's theory focusing mostly on ''the relationship between the visuals and the lyricks'' to make the video more interesting. The video also had some 'iconogrophy' in it since the main character in the video wore a suit, which suited the type of music and the time the song was written in. Most of the shots in the video were panning shots which centred the singer in the middle of the camera so the audience would have their attention focused on the singer.
My group looked at the original song which we used as a starting point to make our video. We thought that a man walking along with an umbrella in the rain would be well suited to the lyrics so that is the main part of the video. The song also gets more upbeat toward the end and ends up being much happier so my group decided that it would also be suitable to have the main character cheering passer-bys up and have him have a jolly step so it looked like the character was happy to suit the upbeat music.
